Selected poems. Erling Kittelsen has published poems, fables, a few novels, translations and plays. He has received many literary prizes and awards. Kittelsen has been called a resistance poet; he is said to offer a necessary counterweight to our economized culture. At the same time, he opens new pathways into mythology and ancient experience that carry and extend our humanity. Kittelsen's recognition as a poet reaches far beyond Norway's borders.
