Lawrence Anthony (1950-2012) var en sørafrikansk forfatter og dyreverner kjent for sitt arbeid med elefanter. Han grunnla Thula Thula Game Reserve og skrev bestselgeren "The Elephant Whisperer". Anthony ble også kalt "Elefantens redningsmann" for sitt engasjement i å redde truede dyrearter. Han døde i 2012, men arven hans lever videre gjennom sitt dedikerte arbeid for dyrene.
