The television genre book

The television genre book. As with film, genre is central to the industry and visual form that is television. This book provides an introduction to the subject's core debates, issues and concerns. It is divided into eight sections: what is genre?; drama; soap opera; comedy; popular entertainment; children's television; and news and documentary.
